Welcome to my Blog!

Hello 5J and Families-
I've decided to start a blog about learning in real life!
As you know, I'm the primary science teacher for the 5th grade.  While teaching, I've also been learning and I find myself making connections between what I teach in school and what I observe in the real world.  I often try to share my thoughts with students, but in the rush of the school day, sometimes I forget.
This blog will be the place where I will share my connections, thoughts, and events that connect to our curriculum.  Sometimes an entry may be about science, while other times it may be about poetry, current events, music, art, health or anything else that strikes my fancy.
Be on the lookout for FUN, EXCITING, SILLY, REAL LIFE connections to the world. And please feel free to share your experiences with me by commenting on blog entries. But please be sure to use your best grammar and spelling... no TEXT SPEAK, please! (unless your comment is about that subject)
ENJOY!
